As an employee, you need to inform your employer/HR department of your absence in order to be eligible for sick leave. Not to worry, you can now submit your Medical Certificate (MC) via the Mednefits mobile app or Mednefits member portal (web)!
It should be noted that the MC Submission feature is only available if your company has activated it.
Through the Mednefits mobile app
Step 1: Log into the Mednefits mobile app.
Step 2: Tap on MC Submission under Other Services and Information to begin the submission process.
- Employee Name: By default, not selectable/editable due to dependent is not eligible. Only employees may submit MC.
Fill in the MC details.
- Transaction/Claim: You are required to tag the submission either to a Panel Visit or Non-Panel Claim. A dropdown of all Panel Visit & Non-Panel Claims from Employee only will be available.
❗Non-Panel Claims will only be available if your company has activated the Claims Submission feature.
❗Please note that the button of Confirm will be greyed out if you have not selected any transactions to tag with.
- Start Date: The date of your MC was issued, as stated by your doctor.
- End Date: The estimated last date of the MC, as stated by your doctor. You can also slide the checkbox to indicate if it is a half-day leave (0.5 Days of Medical Leave)
- Remarks (optional): Input any information for the MC you are submitting (if applicable) for your HR to review.
- Medical Certificate Upload: Upload your MC from your phone (maximum upload cap at 3 photos).
- 🆕 You can now preview and edit the photos you have uploaded! Simply by tapping the photo you wish to edit, and you may start editing them from the following options:
- Crop
- Rotate
- Draw
- Brightness adjustment
Step 4: Review the details of your MC submission and tap on Submit.
Step 5: Tap on Submit to acknowledge that this MC submission action cannot be undone.
Through the Mednefits member portal (web)
Step 1: Log into the Mednefits member portal.
Step 2: Tap on MC Submission from the top menu bar.
Step 3: Fill in the details of your MC submission. You are required to tag the submission either to a panel visit or non-panel claim.
❗Claim (Non-Panel Claim) is only available if your company has activated the Claims Submission feature.
Details to fill in:
- Employee Name: By default, not selectable/editable due to dependent is not eligible. Only employees may submit MC.
- Transaction/Claim: A dropdown of all Panel Visit & Non-Panel Claims from Employee only will be available.
- Start Date: The date of your MC was issued, as stated by your doctor.

- You can also tick on the checkbox to indicate if it is a half-day leave (0.5 Days Medical Leave)
- Remarks (optional): Input any information for the MC you are submitting (if applicable) for your HR to review.
- Medical Certificate Upload: You may Drag and Drop or upload your MC from desktop/computer/tablet (maximum cap at 3 photos)
Step 4: Review the details of your MC submission and tap on Continue.
Step 5: Lastly, tap on Submit MC to complete the submission!
❗If you need to view the submitted MC on your member portal, simply tap on Activities and select View Medical Certificate.
